ARDCI kicks off Giya sa Pasko 2022 with Parade of Parols
21 stunning parols colored downtown Virac last December 16, 2022, in ARDCI’s Parade of Parols to open this year’s Giya sa Pasko.
The 21 parols made from indigenous materials with abaca as the main component, were handcrafted by different groups, organizations, and offices from Catanduanes as their entry for the Abaca Parol-making Competition.
Attendees marched with a live band from ARDCI Corporate Building, along the streets of downtown Virac, leading to the ARDCI Business Center for the presentation of parols, costume competition participants, choral competition, and awarding ceremonies.
The parade was also joined by ARDCI Head Office staff and participants of the parol-making and Christmas costume competition.
