ARDCI Microfinance, Incorported opens its parking lot for local micro-entrepreneurs, both ARDCI members and non-members alike. Locals can shop, dine and enjoy the warm rurban ambience in the afternoon until 9:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays.

The ARDCI Weekend Market was launched on April 23, 2021. Its goal was to liven the economy by providing a safe and accessible venue for trade/commerce in the province targeting local micro-entrepreneurs whose businesses were severely limited by the pandemic.

ARDCI has chosen the open parking area as the venue for this project and, since its launching, has continuously adhered to standard health protocols to mitigate skepticisms on public safety in participating in such an event.

As the activity coursed on, more locals expressed their support for the organization’s objective. From a modest number of 14 sellers when it started, the ARDCI Weekend Market now has 33, and is still receiving numerous inquiries from interested participants. Just on its 5th week, the ARDCI Weekend Market sellers already earned a collective amount of almost P 700,000. Its success has inspired the organization to launch the same in other municipalities in, and if possible, outside Catanduanes.
